Let's Close the Relating Skills Gap
for Younger Australian Adults
So…what's the Project Idea?

Thank you for your curiosity about this project 🙏
Why a focus on desirability, timing and accessibility?
THE DESIRABILITY ISSUE
Most Relationship Education isn't reaching Younger Adults until they're struggling or in crisis (and even then, many on low incomes don't seek help)
Current violence prevention education isn't resonating with younger Australians, it's gender centric perpetrator/victim. Given the escalating issues and commentary in this arena,
what's being done "isn't working"

THE TIMING ISSUE
Relationship Education is at it's highest relevance to younger Australians while they're dating and relating in their early adult lives and BEFORE the problems of relating are deeply embedded.
AFTER problems arise is sometimes TOO LATE, and 'openness to learning new skills' can decrease once trust has been impacted in a family or couple situation. Early Education is Key.
THE ACCESSIBILITY ISSUE
Financial Capacity to Access Relationship Education & Support is a Key Factor affecting the rates of young Australians seeking relationship support.
This project intends that 50% of profits be reinvested into C2Ci to create scholarship places for people seeking Relationship Education who may be financially challenged.
Why This Idea, Why Now?
Violence in Relationships is highest among younger adults 25 - 44 yrs based on reported incidences. (Apparently 9 in 10 incidents are not reported*)
75,000
Women 25 - 34yrs
Reported Partner Violence
over two year period
42,900
Men 35 - 44
Reported Partner Violence
over the same period
7.5 Mil
Australians Aged 25 - 44
Addressable Market Size
for Prevention education
Intimate partner violence contributes more to death, disability and illness in women aged 25–44 than any other preventable risk factor in Australia. *The figure of 9/10 incidents not reported is based on ABS research data.
